Gymshark's 2023 D&AD brief asked designers to create an integrated, disruptive campaign targeted at young people who are approaching significant life milestones. My response is geared towards those who are starting university and may be more susceptible to feelings of loneliness. My campaign, ‘ReBalance’, features the tagline “thoughts can weigh you down, share the load.”. I have taken ordinary solo activities such as park benches, monkey bars, and gym benches and modified them to only function when two people use them as they will have to work together to balance out one another. Conversation cues surround the objects to spark conversation between users to break the ice and to allow them to get to know one another.
